Maxime Gagné
With twenty years of experience, Maxime Gagné joined forces with Alain Thibodeau of ACT Design in 2018 to establish ACT architecture design.
As an associate partner and architect, Maxime provides his services as principal designer for the architecture division.
Maxime distinguishes himself with his array of skills, his keen ability to understand the client, his sharp eye and his rigorous attention to detail. Effective as a communicator and team worker, he has a strong spirit of initiative and is not afraid of new challenges and ambitious projects. He combines creativity and practicality, crafting spaces that are human-centered and conceptualized with the purpose of everyday use.
He was also a founding partner of Laroche et Gagné and Atelier Panorama, architectural firms specializing in ecological architecture and responsible for designing the first public NetZero building in Québec. In addition to his practice, he also teaches architectural design at McGill University and Université de Montréal. He has also been invited as a guest speaker to give conferences, most notably at the Centre Canadien d’architecture (CCA), and participates regularly on juries in the field of architecture and design
